The designs of this selection of hand-made tiles are created from impressions made by plants. Tiles are individually made in a mold, biscuit fired at 1000*C and then re-fired rapidly in a raku kiln to more than 900*C. Each tile is unique due to the unpredictable nature of Raku.
These medium tiles range up to 16 x 16 cms.
As part of an interior design project pieces can be used as focal elements to be displayed in surfaces and walls. Certain pieces can be used as elements of decoration in ceramic and stone flooring projects.
Specially effective as decorative inserts in surface and, elements of composition in mosaics. As decorative pieces they may be hung, framed or assembled into functional objects such as pot-stands, coasters, etc.
